DARIA MAKHATELI
Former Principal Ballerina in Finnish National Ballet

Graduate of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2005 (class of Prof. Tatiana Udalenkova), she joined the Mariinsky Theatre the same year. Daria Makhateli performed with Mariinsky Theatre Soloist and Principal roles on Mariinsky Stage, as well as on Stages of the top and prestigious theatres worldwide on tours with Mariinsky and as a guest; UK, USA, Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Europe. In 2014 Daria Makhateli was invited by Kenneth Greve to join Finnish National Ballet as a Principal Ballerina. Daria Makhateli is a recipient of the “Golden Sofit” award for the best female role in the ballet “Meek One” choreographed by Donvena Pandoursky (2007). Daria was invited guest ballerina of Asami Maki Ballet in Tokyo, Japan.

Daria Makhateli is a co-founder and director of the D&D Art Productions and the Grand Audition (First International Ballet Audition Platform which took place for the first time in 2016) as well as International Guest Teacher. Daria has Organized & Directed International Ballet Master Classes for students – in Brussels (Belgium), Panama City (Panama),Tokyo, Osaka (Japan), Barcelona (Spain).
