Myrna Kamara (Guest Artist) Ms. Kamara is an international prima ballerina based in Zurich, Switzerland. She trained at the School of American Ballet, then joined the New York City Ballet where she performed a range of works from George Balanchine to Jerome Robbins, and pieces by Peter Martins, Elliot Feld, and Lar Lubovitch. She was a soloist with Germany’s Bonn Ballet and later a principal dancer in Miami City Ballet.

After 3 years with Maurice Béjart’s Ballet Lausanne she devoted her time as an independent guest artist, performing throughout the United States and Europe, working with choreographers including , Yanis Pikieris, Paulo Manso de Sousa, Susanna Egri, Gheorghe Iancu, Vladimir Vassiliev, Renato Zanella, Luc Bouy and more.

She is known for her notable performances in “Aida” at the Arena di Verona, Teatro alla Scala, and in Japan. She has  also performed in Placido Domingo’s Gala evening of “Carmen,” Gala des Ètoiles in Luxembourg, and the 20th anniversary galas of the Miami International Ballet Festival. Myrna also teaches and coaches dancers and works with competition ice skaters to improve their performance quality.

She performs regularly with the balletXtreme Dance Company which she founded in Zurich.
